Vehicle Game Plans: Mastering Your Diagnostic Skills

For complete and correct repairs on today’s cars and trucks, techs need to start with a plan—and stick with it. This course presents effective and insightful approaches that can be put into play immediately, boosting confidence and building repeatable paths to diagnostic successes. Technicians will also learn skills and strategies for essential tools like meters, lab scopes and other test equipment.

What you will learn:

Build a “game plan” with intuitive and logical steps to diagnose driveability concerns, including “no-code” scenarios
Using PCM/pressure transducer strategies and enabling criteria methods to analyze issues
Tackle battery concerns, including coding, reprogramming, parasitic draw, voltage drop and engine testing
Understand relative compression, gas analysis, fuel flow testing, fuel trim and current ramping
